Red Fort - Delhi's Iconic Edifice 🕌

The majestic Red Fort, known as Lal Qila in Hindi, is a UNESCO World Heritage site situated in the heart of Delhi, India. Constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1648, it stands as a symbol of India's rich history and a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic, Mughal architecture.

The fort served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors for nearly 200 years. Its walls, built from red sandstone, stretch over 2 kilometers and enclose a stunning collection of structures including public halls, private chambers, and beautiful gardens that reflect the grandeur of Mughal artistry.
