About M.C. Escher
Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) was a Dutch graphic artist who made mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints. His work features impossible constructions, explorations of infinity, architecture, and tessellations. Escher played with perspective and often created paradoxical designs that capture viewers' imaginations.
