Hawa Mahal, also known as the 'Palace of the Winds,' is one of the most iconic landmarks in Jaipur. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, this five-story facade is adorned with 953 small windows called jharokhas, designed to allow royal ladies to observe life and festivals celebrated in the streets below without being seen.
