Welcome to the Koutoubia Mosque

The Splendor of Marrakech

The Koutoubia Mosque is one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in Marrakech, Morocco. Recognized by its stunning minaret, it is a masterpiece of Almohad architecture and a symbol of the city's rich history and culture. The mosque's name comes from the Arabic al-Kutubiyyin, or "booksellers," as the nearby streets were once filled with book traders, enhancing the scholarly aura of the area.

However, the exterior offers plenty of beauty to admire. The adjacent gardens, known as Lalla Hasna Park, provide a peaceful retreat with their fragrant orange trees, fountains, and lush pathways.
