Thyagaraja (4 May 1767 β 6 January 1847) was a renowned composer of Carnatic music, a form of Indian classical music. He is considered one of the greatest musicians in India. His compositions, mostly in Telugu and Sanskrit, are known for their profound depth and spiritual fervor.
