Mary Shelley (1797 – 1851) was an English novelist who is best known for her Gothic novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus (1818). She was married to the notable English Romantic poet, Percy Bysshe Shelley.
Shelley's support for social reform and her imaginative storytelling created a legacy that leaves readers questioning the implications of man's pursuit of knowledge. ⚡️
