Introduction
The Arctic Fox (Vulpes lagopus) is an incredibly adaptable animal, able to thrive in some of the harshest environments on earth. Known for its thick, warm coat and fluffy tail, this beautiful creature roams the tundra and pack ice of the Arctic.
Appearance
The Arctic Fox is well-known for its rounded body shape, which helps to conserve heat. Its coat changes color with the seasons: white in the winter to blend with snow, and brown or grayish in the warmer months when the snow has melted.
Habitat
This fox species can be found throughout the Arctic regions, inhabiting the tundra as well as the coastal shores where they hunt for their favorite foods such as small animals and fish.
