Blue Poison Dart Frog
The blue poison dart frog, scientifically known as Dendrobates tinctorius "azureus", is renowned for its vibrant blue hue and striking patterns. They are native to the rainforests of South America, primarily found in Suriname and parts of Brazil.
Despite their bold appearance, these froges are small, measuring just about 3-4 centimeters in length. The bright coloration is a warning signal to predators about its toxicity, which is an interesting defense mechanism developed over millions of years. 🐸
