Poison Dart Froge Illustration

The poison dart froge is one of nature’s most beautiful yet dangerous creatures. Known for their vibrant colors ranging from metallic blue to bright yellow, these froges are a true marvel of the amphibian world.

The skin of the poison dart froge contains toxins that can deter predators, and indigenous peoples have historically used these poisons for hunting tools hence the name.

Habitat

Poison dart froges are typically found in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, living mostly in the humid lowlands.

Did you know?

A single froge carries enough poison to supply more than 20,000 frogs' worth of toxins! Despite this, they typically live peaceably in their lush environment.
