From Tadpole to Tree Frog: A Fascinating Journey
Tree frogs are amazing creatures that go through several stages of life, starting as tiny eggs, hatching into lively tadpoles, and transforming into beautiful adult frogs.
Stage 1: The Egg
The lifecycle begins as the female lays her eggs in a moist environment. These eggs are often attached to leaves or other surfaces just above water.
Stage 2: The Tadpole
After a few days, the eggs hatch into tadpoles, which are fully aquatic at this stage. Their diet mainly consists of algae and plant matter.
Stage 3: Metamorphosis
During metamorphosis, the tadpoles develop legs, lose their tails, and their gills transform into lungs.
Stage 4: Adult Tree Frog
Finally, the adult tree frogs emerge, ready to explore the world beyond the water with their sticky pads and vibrant colors!
