In Norse mythology, the moon is personified by Máni, the brother of Sól, the sun goddess. Máni and Sól were seen as divine beings controlling the paths of their celestial orbs. They were chased across the sky by Sköll and Hati, wolves that sought to eat them. 🌌

Did You Know?

The Vikings believed that lunar and solar eclipses occurred when Sköll and Hati caught up to the sun and moon. Special rituals were performed to ward off the wolves and protect the celestial objects. 🐺
