Ragnarok is a series of events in Norse mythology that leads to the death of gods and the end of the world, followed by its rebirth. It signifies the ultimate clash between the gods (Æsir and Vanir), and the giants (jǫtnar), with Loki playing a crucial role.

Legend predicts that Ragnarok will bring about a series of cataclysmic events, including a great battle. During the events, many gods will perish including Odin, Thor, and Loki. The world will submerge in water, only to resurface anew and fertile.
