Rosetta's primary objective was to help scientists learn more about the origins of comets and to study the solar system's history. On its journey, Rosetta flew by two asteroids and, after a ten-year journey, it became the first spacecraft to orbit a comet’s nucleus.

Fun Fact: Rosetta was named after the Rosetta Stone, which was instrumental in deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphs. Similarly, the Rosetta mission aimed to unlock the mysteries of cometary and planetary evolution.
