Thelonious Sphere Monk, born on October 10, 1917, was an American jazz pianist and composer known for his unique improvisational style and contributions to the jazz repertoire. Throughout his career, he was renowned for iconic compositions such as "'Round Midnight", "Blue Monk", and "Epistrophy". He was also one of the five jazz musicians to be featured on the cover of Time magazine.
