About Shyama Shastri
Shyama Shastri (1762–1827) was one of the most renowned composers of Carnatic music. Known as part of the trinity of Carnatic composers, along with Tyagaraja and Muthuswami Dikshitar, he contributed significantly to the classical music tradition of South India.
He composed around 300 pieces, with a focus on devotional songs in Telugu and Tamil. Many of his compositions, including his kritis, are still performed by musicians across the globe.'
