Mohammed Rafi - The Golden Voice of Bollywood

Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 – 31 July 1980) was an Indian playback singer and one of the most popular singers in the Indian subcontinent. Renowned for his ability to sing songs in different genres, Rafi's voice was scintillating and magical.

Rafi was known for his versatility and his songs ranged from classical numbers to patriotic songs, sad lamentations to highly romantic numbers, qawwalis, ghazals, and bhajans. He was notable for his ability to mold his voice to the persona of the actor lip-synching the song on screen in the movie.
