Biography
BABYMETAL, a pioneering force in the new wave of metal, hails from Japan and has taken the world by storm with their unique fusion of heavy metal and J-pop elements. The group was formed in 2010 in Tokyo and is one of the most iconic bands in the Kawaii Metal scene.
The band is led by the charismatic trio of SU-METAL (Suzuka Nakamoto), MOAMETAL (Moa Kikuchi), and previously YUIMETAL (Yui Mizuno), who left the group in 2018. Their energetic performances often include highly choreographed dance routines matched with thrashing metal soundscapes.
They gained international fame with their hit single "Gimme Chocolate!!", captivating audiences with its catchy hooks and thunderous guitar riffs. BABYMETAL has played at numerous international festivals and has shared the stage with legendary bands like Metallica and Korn.
