Public Enemy
Public Enemy is an American hip hop group formed on Long Island, New York, in 1985. Known for their politically charged lyrics and criticism of the American media, the group played a leading role in the evolution of hip hop music into the genre-rich in content and messages in the latter 20th century.
The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, being only the fourth hip hop group to receive the honor.
Members include: Chuck D, Flavor Flav, DJ Lord, Professor Griff, and the S1W group, among others.
