The Frog Life Cycle

Frogs are remarkable amphibians with an extraordinary life cycle. Let's dive into the transformation from tiny egg to magnificent adult frog.

Stage 1: Egg

Frogs begin their journey as eggs, often laid in clusters called "rafts" in calm, freshwater bodies. These eggs hatch into larvae within a few days.

Stage 2: Tadpole

Once hatched, they become tadpoles, which primarily live in water. During this stage, they have gills for breathing and a tail for swimming. Gradually, they develop legs.

Stage 3: Froglet

As metamorphosis continues, tadpoles transition into froglets by absorbing their tails, growing lungs, and adapting to life on land or water.

Stage 4: Adult Frog

Completing their transformation, they become adult frogs, capable of leaping, croaking, and furthering the next generation. Their diet includes insects, small fish, and other invertebrates.
