Delicious Kimchi Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 medium Napa cabbage
- 1/2 cup sea salt
- 5 cups water
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fish sauce
- 4 tablespoons Korean red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 5 scallions, chopped
- 1 carrot, julienned
Instructions:
- Cut the Napa cabbage into quarters and remove the core. Chop into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, dissolve the sea salt in water. Add the cabbage and soak for 2 hours. Rinse and drain.
- In a separate bowl, mix ginger, garlic, fish sauce, red pepper flakes, and sugar to form a paste.
- Add the scallions, carrot, and paste to the cabbage. Mix thoroughly until the cabbage is evenly coated.
- Pack the kimchi into a jar, pressing down to remove any air pockets. Seal and let it ferment at room temperature for 3-5 days.
