Ingredients:
- 1 pie crust
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Whipped cream for serving (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, water, and salt; cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat, stir in strawberries.
- Pour mixture into the crust and bake for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden brown.
- Cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Top with whipped cream if desired.
