About F. Scott Fitzgerald
Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald (September 24, 1896 β December 21, 1940) was an American novelist, essayist, screenwriter, and short story writer. He is widely considered one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century.
Fitzgerald is best known for his novel "The Great Gatsby", a cautionary tale regarding the American Dream set in the prosperous Long Island of 1922. His works illustrate the Jazz Age, a term he popularized.
