What is Calculus?
Calculus is a branch of mathematics focused on limits, functions, derivatives, integrals, and infinite series. This area of math is used to study how things change and to calculate the properties of objects in motion. It's super useful in engineering, physics, computer science, and more!
Calculus has two primary branches:
- Differential Calculus - concerned with the concept of a derivative, which represents instantaneous rate of change.
- Integral Calculus - focuses on the accumulation of quantities and the concept of a total or ‘integral’.
