Understanding Relativity

The theory of relativity, developed by the renowned physicist Albert Einstein, revolutionized our understanding of space, time, and gravity. It consists of two main components: the special theory of relativity and the general theory of relativity.

Special Relativity 🚀

Published in 1905, Einstein's special relativity introduces the concept that the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers. It also establishes that the speed of light within a vacuum is the same regardless of the speed at which an observer travels. One of its most famous equations is E=mc², describing the equivalence of energy (E) and mass (m).

General Relativity 🌌

Introduced in 1915, general relativity expands the theory to include gravity as a property of the curvature of spacetime. This curvature changes the path of objects, leading to phenomena such as the bending of light around massive objects.
