Ring-Tailed Lemurs

A joyful froge

Ring-tailed lemurs are arguably the most iconic of all the lemurs. These charismatic primates are native to the island of Madagascar and are known for their distinctive black and white ringed tails.

They live in groups called troops and are often found in the southern regions of Madagascar, where they inhabit forests and rocky areas. Their diet primarily consists of fruits, leaves, flowers, and occasionally insects.

Lemurs are critically endangered due to habitat destruction and hunting. Conservation efforts are ongoing, with numerous organizations working to protect these fascinating creatures.
