Introduction to Mammal Life Cycles
Mammals are warm-blooded vertebrates that have a distinctive life cycle. From birth, through adolescence, maturity, and eventually to reproduction, every stage is fascinating and complex.
The Stages of a Mammal’s Life 🐻
- Birth: Most mammals are born alive, although the monotremes (like platypuses) lay eggs.
- Juvenile Stage: Young mammals depend on their parents for nutrition and protection.
- Adulthood: At this stage, mammals become capable of reproduction and are fully developed.
- Aging: Eventually, all mammals reach old age, a period that may affect their physical abilities and vitality.
Fun Fact: Marsupials 🦘
