Red-Eyed Tree Frog

The Red-Eyed Tree Frog (Agalychnis callidryas) is a vibrant and beautiful species native to the rainforests of Central America. 🌿🐸 Their striking red eyes serve as a warning to predators and can startle threats during their defense mechanism known as “startle coloration.”

These amphibians are not only fascinating but are also essential in maintaining their ecosystems by controlling insect populations and serving as prey for many larger species.
