In particular, it explores what happens when the parallel postulate, which states that only one line can be drawn parallel to another given line through a point not on the line, is modified.
There are two main types of non-Euclidean geometry: hyperbolic and elliptic geometry. These geometries have numerous applications in various fields such as astrophysics, navigation, and art.
