About the Suite
The Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, BWV 1007, is one of the most recognizable and celebrated works of Johann Sebastian Bach. It is especially famous for its Prelude, which has been featured in numerous films, television programs, and performances worldwide.
The suite is composed of six movements:
- Prelude
- Allemande
- Courante
- Sarabande
- Minuets I & II
- Gigue
