Mango Sticky Rice Recipe 🍚🥭
Ingredients
- 1 cup glutinous rice
- 2 ripe mangoes
- 1¾ cups coconut milk
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Soak the glutinous rice in water for 30 minutes, then drain.
- Steam the rice for 25-30 minutes until tender.
- In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves.
- Mix 1¼ cups of the coconut mixture with the steamed rice. Let it sit for 20 minutes to absorb.
- Peel mangoes and slice them into thin pieces.
- Serve the sticky rice with mango slices on top, drizzled with remaining coconut sauce.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
