What is Integration?
Integration is a fundamental concept in calculus that, in its simplest form, can be thought of as the reverse process of differentiation. It allows us to find the total amount, such as area under a curve, from the rate of change.
There are several techniques to perform integration:
- Substitution Method: A method that simplifies integrals by substituting variables.
- Integration by Parts: Based on the product rule for differentiation, typically used when integrals are products of functions.
- Partial Fractions: Used for rational functions, this method breaks down complex fractions.
